its not super uncommon for op to be higher dmg if it's a relatively short game, but if it was ahead by a large margin you were probably over-prioritising it

I play bleed, so I generally try to maintain rend while building pressure. When paladin decides it's time to burst I disarm them and stun if needed. I keep earlier pressure up until they bubble and then I switch target. I then try as well as I can to wipe them off the earth, but I do suspect this is a skill-issue on the paladin's end.
