let me tell you though, the last 3 weeks, after conquest uncap, it's been hell. My best was 1790 then I tanked to 1500 and I'm stuck there. Granted I'm busy with work and I play only 1-2 shuffles a day, when I get to even play for a little bit. But still.

I think a lot of people are playing with alts and so you're encountering a lot of talented players at lower ranks.

They increase skill, but not inspiration. Example: if my skill is 340 with a tier 2 and 360 with a tier 3 diamond, and it takes 375 skill to guarantee rank 3 gem, then that difference doesn't matter. If I get "inspired" it grants me like 100 skill or something so that difference is negligible

But if you pay someone for their mettle, they use the insight to get +30 skill, so that's how they guarantee Rank 3 gem with tier 3 diamond.
