It doesnt matter much, in a couple of weeks you will have 4 set anyway, but you should probably not upgrade drakebreaker gloves cause then you'll want to redo it with crimson gloves to get the 424 version.

So I'm new to pvp and am a fury main in pve. I tried arms in pvp and it feels okay, but I find it overwhelming to try to learn pvp and arms at the same time. I'm tempted to just stick with fury for the rest of this season and then switch to arms next season. Does it really matter which spec at low ranks? My CR in solo shuffle is literally like 200 -- I've barely played any rated yet.

Nah.. and Fury is totally viable in SS.
Once you hit ~1800-2000 you might start to feel like you can't secure kills and your partner dies a lot. I think the burst of Arms wins out over Fury in that regard, but Fury probably a bit more survivable even with IP.

Fury is easy to pick up, so you can roll as Fury in low-mid ranks while you learn other classes, positioning, etc., then swap Arms when you're comfortable with the generic aspects of arena

Arms is much closer to Fury in playstyle now compared to the last expansion.. IMO. There's a bit of overlap and it shouldn't be a huge lift to go from Fury.

Anyone have a legit reason for using slam? You give up some utility talents in the arms tree to get the slam talents, and between using hamstring/howl, ignore pain, and overpower/mortal strike resets, I feel like slam is just not it.

Shouldn't have to test it. The patch notes usually have class-wide buffs under Warrior, then spec-specific buffs under Arms/Fury/Protection. If the Slam buff was listed under Arms, then it should only affect Arms
