Don’t know how it is elsewhere. I typically try to minmax because we have raid groups form up on my server. TLDR nah you don’t need to get conquest if you’re not trying to be sweaty for wpvp, you’d function ok, I just prefer to be sweaty.

And the gearing can be ok. Depends on spec/class. Armor pieces are hard locked to certain stats with no alternatives aside from the cloak I think.

I wpvped a shit ton at the start of the expansion but I’ve sort of simmered down as it’s mostly raid groups/fucking about now as there’s no real reason for any serious players to do it

Pretty sure serious pvpers only touched it at the start, or in the current time to gear someone without pvp gear rapidly vs spending time in battlegrounds. If you have lads to help slam every WQ as fast as possible and then call it quits for the day, it’s pretty easy and quick gear.

So rn it’s usually stomping noobs / under geared players or it’s just raids running around killing one another just because
