@limpid palm I didn't understand weak auras as I hadn't played in years. It's actually really cool. Basically, I use and install "quality of life" auras. Like "Cast Battle Shout because someone is missing the buff" and then it disappears when clicked
Best thing, just disable the addon completely if you dislike it.
I found most "addons" I thought I wanted were easily found as weak auras

The only real option is curseforge. Few devs put their addons elsewhere. The 3rd party clients have leeched the curseforge servers for some time now, but they always got their data from curse. It looks like overwolf got tired of others leeching though so they're looking to limit that.
Some addons, like ElvUi have their own hosting.

well if it grants a buff, you'd make a weak aura that looks for whatever the buff name is on friendly targets
they have templates in there and you just select what you need it to do and the spell and it should come up with something close to what you want.
cuz like, i know for 100% fact there was a weak aura i had that it would any time less than 5 players in my party had battle shout, it would show a thing, so i know what u mean and that it is possible easily, i can look for something like what ur mentioning

this is the macro i have been using for a while id like to add the covenant ability "Door of shadows" to this if possible.
the macro charges if targeting an enemy and heroic leaps if no target and intervenes friendly's all in one button.
door of shadows does not share a global cooldown with any of these other abilitys.
ive tried to add it in a few different ways but the macro continues to bug out.

WeakAuras, especially boss packages for raids, have a tendency to run too many operations and sucking your cpu. I've seen people go from 20 to 80 fps in raids from disabling certain WeakAuras

Try addonusage, do a profiling on weakaura, etc. Also for encounters just use bigwigs/dbm and take your time to set them properly. That will cover 99% of you WA's needs and deletes sub-optimal WA's

Make a normal weakaura for it. Go into the conditions tab and add a condition for trigger 1, remaining duration =< 3, then "sound" and click the activate button next to it. You can adjust the sound in the sound tab and leave it inactive. It will only activate with 3 or less seconds on rend.
If something is slightly off it's because I'm writing this from memory.

You can, but you need to use /swapactionbar shenanigans. Hard doubt Blizzard would let you use it to automate gameplay though, that's usually a banable offense.

As i Said, it is not worth it, the class is not the same as in warlords, nor is the client. Castsequence is commonly used in fast cd pushes with casts for casters. It takes away from melee. And i dont have any numbers but i feel its a dps loss.

Question about creating a MACRO. I have limited keybinding options due to having the tiniest hands on the planet, and I'd like to be able to combo some things. Now that I'm diving into pvp, is there a way I could kb my trink, but create a macro that if it's not available but Will to Survive or Berserker Rage is up/available to use, it might use the appropriate ones of those? Is that too much to ask of a macro?

Thanks man, wasn't sure if you could use multiple spells in a macro without burning all of 'em inadvertently. It's an accessibility issue for me because of the smol hands thing. I had a 12-button MMO mouse that was the smallest I could find and it gave me a hand issue that landed me in physical therapy for a couple months. /facepalm Now I'm using a Razer Deathadder Mini, but it's only got the two side buttons. I'll keep working at is and see if I can't find some other keys to press within my comfort zone ๐

I saw a three switch USB foot pad at Microcenter a few years back that might work for you. I expect you'd be able to set up the buttons for mod keys and then use your foot to choose which one. Hitting multiple mod keys would be more difficult unless you're familiar with heel-toe shifting in a manual car, but critical keys shouldn't be tied to two mod keys anyway. The curse app has one (1) ad that's not even intrusive. Dunno, if that's bloated to you. You do need Overwolf running to have curse running. But it's not intrusive at all since it doesn't even open the app once you start the curse app. And you can just turn off Overwolf once you're done updating addons.
Also, it's not like every single thing we use doesn't "datamine" us in some way, so not a big deal imo. How do you think Google does targeted ads?
Wowup (among others) is also leeching on Curseforge while providing addon authors with no benefits. So if you like your addons I feel like seeing one ad now and then is a small price to pay to support addon authors. Unless you manually donate that is, but I assume you don't?

There's always the option to pay for premium if you don't want ads. I just personally feel that considering the massive amount of work addon devs do the least we as users can do is to give them some ad revenue at least. There were a few addon devs that came out during the overwolf change that said that donations were basically non existent, and if not for ad revenue they'd just quit developing addons altogether.

Looking for a wa or better guidance on how to make one that does the following:
Tracks Reckless, spear of bastion, and trinket. Shows them on cooldown and highlights when they come off. My macro combines all three but the icon only displays when reckless is off cool down.
Too many times I end up only partially casting the macro and the three end up out of sync

I get I'm holding spear for 30 seconds and if a pack is lasting longer than expected, tank needs to kite, etc. I will cast before reckless comes off of cool down. That's partly why I'd like to have the three icons showing if they are up or on cool down, make an informed decision based on the fight/pack. Right now I'm going off gut, spear should be off of cooldown.

I've got so many weak auras & addons I can't figure this one out... when fighting certain bosses I get a range finder for the group that shows on my screen, but it's covering certain spells --- anyone know what might be causing this? I suspect maybe Plater? I can't find the setting.

im using publiks weak aura for ignore pain but my one problem with it is it doesnt also show when not active

Hey guys I use the "Narcissus" addon in order to increase the dressing room so I can details more clearly on my transmogs, and that's the only reason I use it.
Anyway... I just want to know if it's possible to turn off the text "Haven't collected this appearence", on none plate items? It shows up on every single other armor type that I haven't collected, which is VERY frustrating cause I get excited, and then realize it's not for my Warrior.
I only care about my Warrior and thereby only plate, but I don't know how to turn that option/feature off for cloth, leather and mail items, or if it's even possible?

Does anyone have a weakaura that works for people in your group to show the knockdown ticks of Ancient Aftershock? I found one that works specifically for me to see when the next one is coming, but it would be helpful for the group to see the knockdown ticks as sometimes in Mythic + interrupts get wasted by the knockdown ticks happening right when they go to use their interrupt. current one I have has a count down bar with ticks on it where the knockdowns happen as shown in the image.
