Experiencing possibly the most frustrating wow issue ever. Randomly I just stop being able to cast spells & it doesn't fix its self until I completely close wow and relaunch.

I've tried disabling all addons, done a scan and repair and then did a full reinstall and it still occurs. Is it something I'm doing in game? Tickets have been less than helpful, giving it the usual "addons" reply.

This issue doesn't happen on my ele shaman.

If you have DBM, it might be overriding your nameplates. I had this problem myself and had to turn off that functionality in dbm.

I honestly recommend people to move away from those weakauras. Learning how to use elvui and weakauras is amazing to build an ui that matches your needs

To conserve space I've done this, because I need to have my skills visible or my brain goes nuts and forgets half of them even exist. In order:

• some buffs, reck is shown twice but only when signet is equipped so I can see both buffs next to each other
• whirlwind
• rage
• enraged
• bladestorm
• first strike

The rest is just a bunch of WAs with duration (or shield amount in case of ignore pain) overlay for the actionbars

There are a bunch of other WAs that are not shown here though, such as healthstones/pots under my bar to the left, resource bar under hp number/percentage and some other situational stuff 😄

It looks very nice but I'm not a big fan of the locations of your abilities. Its a personal preference but I would have shorter cds dps at the top along important dps cds and utilities more at the bottom.

Ah yes, for me it's positioned where it's comfortable for my hands to reach on the left, top bar is improv, right side is pretty much my mouse

So it might look a bit weird cause of the keybinds

Top row is F1~F5, just can't see the binds cause of the overlays

hardest part is having a similar layout on every character, so ALT+1 is always the covenant class ability, and Alt+MouseWheelUp is always the covenant signature ability for example, then I put cooldowns on F1~F3, trinket on F4, some form of utility on F5 (like invis belt)

So long story short, up until key 5 everything is layered the same as on my keyboard so I have a 1:1 mapping without having to think where the buttons are 😅

enrage is 4s and you want to fit the aftershock into the first enrage that you get from the BT in your opener

because if you don't do it like that, you don't have enough time to get another enrage up before first strike wears off

Can anyone help me here. I got 130 fps when doing daylies in korthia etc. But in raids i drop to 30-45 fps. Its really disturbing

That happens alot because you have more peoples attacks showing on your screen so your gpu has to work harder so your fps will drop you may have to turn down some of the graphics when in a raid

@sick ember And make sure your WA's are up to date and that you have removed the ones you dont use anymore. A lot of errors on old WA's that might only activate during raids. And same with some addons. It's easy to check by turning off WA completely, if it affects your FPS.

Go to your soul forge and activate a spec. Then activate the soul bind you want with it. Then swap specs and pick the new soul bind you want and activate that one. If you mouse over them at the soul forge on the left it says what spec each is bound to. Obviously you can’t use the same soulbind (the person) with two specs and 2 different conduit setups.

Same way you can hit C and go to your armor sets on the top right and after saving what you have on for whatever spec you can right click and assign it to a spec so you always have the right gear set equipped.

When I activate arms It swaps to ST trinkets and dream weaver. When I go fury it activates korayn with AOE trinkets and 2 2H weapons

And around the patches seems like its a pain from user reports.

hey guys, i dont know if this is the correct channel, but i could use some help with a weak aura or even addon. I need something to help me remember my timers. Doesnt have to be fancy. It would just be nice to have a sound play whenever i am supposed to use shout for instance. This needs to work like this, that i can if i am tasked to shout at around minute 1:35, that i can set it up to make a custom sound at 1:30.

Yeah. I have a relatively good PC with 3070 etc. and I had horrible performance in raids. Certain abilities would make my game stutter or freeze for half a second (like chains on Soulrender). I deleted 90% of my WAs and my FPS went up by 40 with no stuttering /freezing. Big groups like the Sanctum package are extremely demanding or even buggy. Outdated WeakAuras can also be an issue.

When inscrutable quantum device was discovered, weakauras for it popped up left and right, and most of them updated check on everything around you 1000 times a second. Now this didnt dcrash your game, but seriously hogged resources. Thats usually the big difference between weakauras and a big project like elvui, the latter has quality control and only needs hotfixes for minor things on patches.

Been slowly reducing the Luxthos WAs "visual bloat" (i.e. everything being a big ability icon) to track things in a more compact way.

ex. Rend duration is tracked with the red border on the lower (Colossus Smash duration) bar, and glows <=3s for refresh

Added an opacity over rage bar to discourage me from rage starving, and tracking Overpower stacks/duration on the Colossus Smash bar as well.

Definitely a WIP, but it'll be nice to declutter a bit.

You can make WAs fairly similar to elvui just using the base addon. On display zoom the icon to around 25% to 30% and make a black border at size 1. That'll remove the ugly Blizzard icon borders.

The addon Hekili is pretty good for rotation. You can add in CDs, racials, trinkets, etc and itll auto update your skill rotation depending on mob count around you for ST/AOE

Could be multiple reasons. Wrong load selection, spell id instead of debuff id, never got debuffed. Change the id to some debuff a mob outside casts and test it on them.

Theres a million different uses for weakauras, so it ultimately depends on what you want them to do. buff tracking, m+ utility, raid warning, auto target marking, ability group tracker, entire ui kits, etc etc

I want that exact WA just with an added Cooldown timer. Literally exactly as is but with CD timer. In this version it only shows when ready to use.

For weakaura you dont need shared media, however you need to have the file as .ogg or .mp3. In order to get it to be recognized, after adding the file you have to restart the game(logout is not enough). Place it into the sounds folder of it for easy result and dont go crazy on the naming.
For dbm/bigwigs only you could just replace a soundfile, while sticking to the original format of .ogg

Its Elvui action bar with Masque. I found out its because of the plugin AddonSkins and I couldn't figure out a way to get rid of the border with it on so I just disabled the plugin.

All borders in everything else were off. Had to find out by disabling both my elvui and masque addons then re-enabling them one-by-one lol
