Macroing Thunder Clap into Avatar a good idea?

You can technically cast it twice on one button press because Avatar resets TC cooldown. Or, if you have a Thunder Blast stack, cast Thunder Blast twice.

Weakauras is an addon that can let you add stuff to your UI. It's most commonly used in order to centralize buffs on your screen or to warn you when stuff happens. I'm sure you understand what Bigwigs or DeadlyBossMods do right? Mobs/Bosses do something > they trigger a warning on your screen. Well - Weakauras let us customize that to a very high degree, which is why multiple dungeon weakaura packs and raid weakaura packs exist. They go as far as triggering sounds, having built-in logic, etc.

Fury warrior, for example, has an optimization for ST dps where we really like clicking Bloodthirst at 85% crit, so a weakaura has been made by some person/people that trigger's a sound and a glowing bloodthirst icon whenever your bloodthirst crit % hits 85% - something the vanilla blizzard UI can't really do.

idk what kind of games you usually play but if you play league of legends then im sure you know those overlay apps like Blitz or u.gg or porofessor - it's the same kind of concept where you have UI elements that help you out - except you can make a lot more than just helpful UI additions, you can completely customize EVERYTHING in your UI

the TLDR is that weakauras are small little UI customizations that can simply show you stuff or trigger sounds for you when you want them to do that or they can even trigger some UI effects based on code-logic

#

a very simple example is that someone really doesn't want to look at their buff bar whenever they have Sudden Death, the buff that enables us to click execute at high enemy HP - this person can go into the weakaura addon and make a buff-tracker that is whereever they want it on their screen

just so they don't have to look up at the top-right part where the buffs are

Weakauras dont just have to assist you at playing your class easier, they also assist people at other stuff. You can have text on your screen reminding you to check your talents when a ready-check is made by your group leader

there is a addon called weakaura, this is a toolbox where you can basically do everything what you want to create little "weakauras".
mostly its used to show buffs, debuffs, energy, casts and every info you can think off: your stats, infos for bosses and dungeons!
does show text all sorts and can do activate sounds and endless more.
its just the tool to create - ( even a full UI ) so whenever there is no addon for you that does the things you desire or just need here and there a little reminder or funny thing or whatever.
there can be a weakaura for it (surely anything that isnt ToS .. )

Go to the condition tab of that demolish aura and make a new condition that looks similar to where the 'and trigger 1' thing corresponds with the trigger of the cooldown/charges/count in the trigger tab. In the display tab make sure there is a glow effect in red (use the cogwheel of the glow effect to give it a custom colour, which would then be red).

Just a warning, when editing aura's in packs you've downloaded. When the pack creator uploads an update to wago and (as you should) update it on your end via the wago companion app, or re'importing the code, your changes will get overwritten.

Weakauras itself is nothing more than a framework. You have to either create your own auras, or import things other already made. A good location to find those already made auras is wago.io.

weakauras is just a tool as above already explained. what you installed is a so called class-weakaura package.
that shows all the infos like procc, cooldowns, uptime, buffs, rage etc of your char in better than.
back then you only used the infos that action bars and the buff bar gives. but this is impossible in modern wow and also very inefficient to look at these areas 🙂
now you have all the infos "how to play" your char in one area
the "upper area" is all offensive / rotation wise
the "see throu" area at the bottom is more utility, defensiv, mobility and everything else.

tip the buttons after 6 are useless default options from 20 years ago so i would recommend remove these also 🙂

yo yo whats good lads, I'm probably switching away from ElvUI in order to get more frames (my pc is ass).
I've already done all the known basic ways of enhancing the UI, I'm not here to get tips such as "increase the details update interval", already checked off.
Instead, I'd like to know if you guys know any alternative addons to replace components of my UI.

  • Unhalted Unit Frames for Unit Frames
  • Grid2 for Party Frames
  • BasicMiniMap + MiniMap Stats for my Mini Map
  • ( im missing this ) for my action bars (i really like the way ive set up my action bars and i really like the ElvUI style of the action bars, I don't want to customize the default UI action bars to look similar to this, they're ugly as shit
  • I plan on keeping most of my weakauras (buff tracker and rage bar, i do not want to use actionbar-replacing weakauras)
  • (im missing this) for my chat

I tried to roughly recreate my UI using bartender, yet now half my actionbars are looking disconnected like that (check bar 1 and bar 2).
The dumb thing is that bar 1 and bar 2 function just fine, yet bar 3 and bar 6 do not function properly (they don't have the small highlight you get when pressing the keybind)

There’s loads of solid packs out there. Course the one you make yourself is best, as you know what you want to see. If you just want something of the shelf, look for something that is updated frequently, preferably within the current patch. Then you are somewhat certain bugs get fixed and changes from blizz are incorporated.

Are there any weakauras that will alert me when I'm taking melee hits that are not being blocked?
I'm seemingly doing a good job with keeping shield block up, but my block % feels lower than it should be. I think I might be taking back hits, but having a hard time picturing when on M+'s that I've done. looking for some kind of alert that'll tell me when I'm messing up so I understand better in the moment when I'm screwing up

what i did on my class weakaura:
i have a smol glow and a bigger glow on the MS / cleave for it (1 stack / 2 stacks)
so i can see at the same time their cooldown and more..

so your thinking is kinda reverse version ^^ you want to show a weakaura when you not want to press overpower. and i just showing if my abilites are enhanced by overpower, what i think is better and easier.

  • I try to make a weakaura that show an icon when i dont have MS effect on enemy player, and it works good.

I don't think that fixes the problem

The issue they're having is that the weakaura shows when Mortal Wounds is missing. And it's missing because other players are applying a debuff that has the same effect but a different ID, which overwrites Mortal Wounds, so it's missing and the weakaura pops up.

Changing it to only show their own Mortal Wounds doesn't do anything to address that problem. Their own Mortal Wounds is still not there, and therefore the weakaura, which triggers when the Mortal Wounds is missing, will still show up.

The actual fix would be to add all of the spell IDs for the various healing reductions. This is probably going to be a bit of a pain in the ass because you'd need to look up all of them.

@fiery granite I currently have naowhui weakaura package and it does a great job at tracking everything. When I get an SD proc it'll wait for the conditions then glow and play a sound. I was wondering if there's a way to get the glow to happen on Juggernaut when it has 2 or less seconds left for when I'm in exe phase and sometimes SD doesn't proc so I do better with my Jugg upkeep.

I would personally recommend the glow condition to be triggered by longer than 2s duration though, 2s is a pretty short time to react if you're using the glow condition in your peripheral vision as a cue

Tend to just have my st keys and aoe keys the same on all characters or specs etc. like r is my aoe key cleave and on hunter it's multishot etc helps with muscle memory. Ms is q for me and execute on e etc with CDs usually on 1-3 i.e keys you press often on easier to hit buttons and CDs either on slightly less valuable keys or on modifiers like shift+1 etc so you don't fluff a cd by accident

we all tryed to do it over severall seasons. its shit ^^ rather do 2-3 simple weakauras and load them seperatly..
tons of spell ids over 3 speccs+hero talents with talents changing those. Proccs, sometimes it costs rage sometimes not, somtimes it has cooldown or a buff durations , ....
also the interactions with priority in case the weakauras help with those......and dont let me startet on condemn

but i have only 6 clueless (more WA doesnt make it worse, its just easier to maintain. also having several options of some weakauras is nice if more people uses the pack)

small question, using this common interface pack but im a weakaura monkey. The sizes of the bars seem to set themselves in accordance to the parent group, but id really liketo make the shield block bar (which is for some reason the smallest) bigger

won't look exactly like that but /plater -> General Settings -> Indicators -> Add Extra Glow to Execute Range

the buff doesn't proc on targets already within execute range. so when I was hitting the dummies in dornogal it wasn't procing sudden death. 🤡
