well going back and updating old graphics is not simple. but its something that should be done at least with the most iconic gear like raid sets and such

its something that would take more than one expansion to be worked on and would have to be continiously updated through the expansions. so you would probably have to put a group of people to just work on housing related stuff to populate the world and game with it

its a whole endeavor

as an example the new housing district in ff14 took about 5 years of preparation and design. included a whole overhaul of the crafting system and revamp on the area it was going to be located. and the housing system in that game still is a nightmare

difference is they have been working on it since release so the wireframe is there.

on that same note updating all of thos transmogs would probably take a small team a few seasons to just start with
