I feel like the Frost DK comparsion isn't very good, as it's pretty much two specs built into one. Oblit and Breath play very differently and excels differently with the weapon typing usually (DW being Breath, Oblit being 2)

Recruit's Sturdy shield is dropping from the current pre-patch event (each individual event, and also the end-boss). You get both horde and alliance version if one drops. It's also dropping a full set of the Dread Aspirant BFA blue pvp set (each drop gives both alliance and horde version, but still faction locked).
Only tested on a warrior. Seems to only drop on lower levels (not sure how high it goes, but I started at lvl 10 and it's still dropping at lvl 32). Seems to replace the 480 ilvl drops you get at max-ish lvl.

A combination of heritage armor and 7th Legionnaire gear from BFA, weapon from trading post, shield from normal G'huun. I went with mismatched shoulders and hidden head slot to minimize clipping of the shield, but heritage helm works well with this.

As I said before only helm and shoulders are generally worth using IMO because while pixelated compared to modern pieces still hold up well. Hence I put said pieces with other items to make a personal mog 🤷♂️
Using T3 doesn't imply multiple T3 pieces nor did I say it did. Get the items from the set you like and use them. Most T3 individual items look so bad these days they aren't worth the gold IMO as previously stated.
The only T3 id possibly consider full setting is the warlock because it's so busy it tends to only go with itself and the business of it hides its age better than other sets. But I don't play a lock. 🤷♂️

i think you can also talk to a tabard vendor and the option of "i lost this particular tabard" might pop up, it might not be there because it was like 15 years ago though...
