so those of you who farm tusks, how long you been farming it for?

the garrosh skip made me level 3 new plates to 50 to serve as tusk bots, so now i have a total of 6 characters i run it on so 12 total attempts per week

most of the kills are on my main, many of them are on heroic while only 49 are on mythic, since i started farming tusks with him in WoD and mythic garrosh wasnt soloable then

but 241 weeks is 4.6 years worth of weekly resets running garrosh

ive gotten the korkron juggernaut mount 3 total times

to add insult to injury, every time i see a guy with tusks mogged i compare achievements and look at garrosh kill statistic and they always always always have like <10 total garrosh kills. and i know it might just be an alt of their and they might have potentially farmed them for long on different characters, but this being the case so frequently that i doubt its always true

This just a history buffs perspective, but I'd swap out that chainmail tabard for a plated cuirass. Chainmail was only used to cover gaps in armor by the time plate mail became relevant, and even then, thick cloth hauberks and boiled leather were favored, as chainmail could be destroyed easily by pinching the chains with a good stab or a blow from mordhau stance. Most plate armor pieces had chainmail on the gaps, only as a redundancy to reinforce the hauberk underneath by the time plate was in fashion.

TL;DR: you are wearing several centuries worth of armor design history rn hehe.

That said, there were cultures that mixed and matched armor, like the celts. But they mostly just used chainmail because they couldn't afford modern plate mail, not for fashion.

Plus, those legs are scale mail, which is also several centuries ahead of basic chainmail designs

Cant speak for him but historically/realistically speaking, having a bevor woven into chainmail defeats both the purpose of the bevor and the chainmail. Plus, chainmail should never be worn over top plate, small clippings are taken and clamped to plate gaps, and a cloth or leather hauberk is worn underneath. That aside I love this color scheme a lot.

Any faction war story kinda fell apart when they hard shifted horde with Garrosh and that being largely met with "what the fuck?". It set a standard that you can't do war without fundamentally changing how a faction acts. So we have Saurfang and most the horde sitting around going "the hell are we doing this for?", multiple times, so it ends up less a faction conflict and more a faction in a faction conflict. Nor does it help that horde being villain baited has always allowed any alliance actions to be kinda hand waved as justified. Like them attacking a none hostile city and killing its king after they kidnapped a princess.

Blizzards inability to work this without a villain prevents faction conflict from ever working.

So if they are giving up on trying, good. It's always fucking awful.

My takeaway on farming items like this is that there should be some kind of bad luck protection on stuff. There's something that's rare to get, sure, but then there's wasting years off your life lol

If they just did a system like the fyrakk leggo where you get a higher chance the next time and from now on, I'd like that a lot. Doesn't even need to be an inventory item just make it all happen behind the scenes based on total kill count, idk

People would be the same colors but they would wear a much bigger variety of gear. So, frankly, it would be less boring. LIke other MMO; people mix and match so much that no two people look alike unless theyre wearing full sets.
