Colo picks up like 5% single target, does practically the same multitarget, and doesn't have to worry about cringe Cleave on Single Target anymore
basically what you lose from Cleave no longer triggering Deep Wounds, you gain from more frequent Demolish triggering Deep Wounds
and you get Slam-Deep Wounds prio damage on top
Insane how colo has gotten like 6 straight buffs and still is the worst st dps in the game
i think with 2 cleaves instead of 3 it will do less aoe

the demo buff makes up for it

the issue with Ravager is it doesn't do shit on its own - it only exists to buff Cleave
- if you're not actively using Cleave, it isn't even worth spending a GCD to put down Ravager, it's that impotent

well see, that's no longer a thing in 12.0.5 anyway (even during Ravager), so Ravager has even less a reason to exist anymore

you take it in multitarget, but just because you have a multitarget build doesn't mean you're always doing multitarget

so again, even if you got rando Ravager procs, they'd only be useful if they happen while you're cleaving multiple enemies; if they start proccing on bosses... they aren't gonna amount for shit
so it's still a flawed talent
and that's one of the reasons Colossus single target damage sucks so bad - you're spending a bunch of talent points on things that only have value in AoE
So replace Ravager with anything, but ideally something that has value in both single target and multitarget would help Colossus across the board
That's one thing I enjoyed about fury. All really changes is improved whirlwind
The damage is good and consistent for what it is. St could always be better but not as bad as arms
There is a Muradin talent in Heroes of the Storm which makes Thunder Clap do sometihng like 3x more damage IF it only hits 1 target. That made also for interesting gameplay trying to position yourself to make it only hit 1 target.
When TWW started I kept imagining it making sense for Thane but probably not for Ravager that moves on its own
could be an interesting inverse to Meat Cleaver, but not really what I'm lookin for w/ Colossus
honestly I'd just replace Ravager with something passive; the gameplay is already good, it doesn't really need any extra complication

depends, my uderstanding is slayer end up having more ST baked in, whereas collosus is more AE damage, but that's getting "fixed" in .5, if you look at logs for keys/raid it's pretty split

The intent of the openers section is to cover the most common examples, to give players an idea of what openers will generally look like, not to give a step-by-step on every potential rotation or else itâd get really thicc really fast
from an outside looking in scenario, would it maybe make sense to throw in "subsitute x for y" because that ended up throwing me for a bit of a loop, it's just not intuitive. Maybe not on you, but brain dumb.
So no, thereâs no single target colossus opener or multitarget slayer opener, but players should be able to look at one and extrapolate how the other will go. Unlike some classes, thereâs no real special tech to our openers either - itâs just following the priority list
I think putting bladestorm in a colossus labeled section would be more confusing, but Iâll think about how to better disclaim it in a future update
when i say intuitive let me clarify - the demo opener makes sense, but little goblin brain see beyblade and think it's takes precedence from an opener stand point. I'm also genuinely stupid so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.

When doing arms rotation for AoE, for the sake of getting colossal stacks, isnt it good to go colossal smash>mortal strike>cleave spam.
And to just weave mortal strike between the swings? With the 4 set bonus I figured it would be beneficial to put mortal strike above cleave on the priority list.

And remeber, stacks arent as valuable as they were in tww
I have skyreach and puzzle box trinkets are those good for m+, I feel like no raid trinkets and puzzle box feels bad for 14+ key.
But in the opener if you go mortal strike before and after cleave spam you have more demolish damage at the end of jt.
And just in general cooldown reduction of demolish. It feels bad to leave mortal strike off cooldown.

It might depend on target count, but in full aoe (i.e 5+ targets) theres no way you dont send cleave asap

No swing timers
Makes charge weaving not fun
Only spec that I know of that has a swing timer is ret because their resources are also dependent on melee swings

So who is starting the thread to have sweeping strikes removed from the GCD? The pace is so much faster now. Spending a global on sweeping strikes hurts. Especially with the long cast time of cleave>slam.
They are both good in the long run tbh. Slayer is the fan choice for the fun gameplay. For optimal AoE damage, use colossus.

I think it is also talent based. Cleave does 20%more damage at 35% if you have the talent.

But I think slayer runs execute at 35% talent so it os mute for slayer.
Bladestorm is hard because it is purely proc based. But as long as you keep all on cooldown you likely only have to hold bladestorm for 4 or 5 seconds before you get colossal smash back. Worst case.
Especially in target swapping. Slayer's cooldown goes down faster with SD based on the stacks your target has.
if colossus smash comes off cooldown first and avatar will be back in a few seconds, is it better to wait and use cs with avatar?

Damn does crit stat really matter that much? I'm simming single target on raidbots with arms slayer ST raid talents (with my fury gear) and it's doing like 5k less dps than my fury MT dungeon spec simmed. I was just watching critcake do a +18 academy with his fury gear as arms slayer and he's pumping, what am I missing?
is there any kind of macro or other allowed atm to bake slam into other abilities if they are not available, to avoid an extra keybind with no real purpose?
