I love the feel of slayer arms. It feels the best for me. I tried fury for a few bosses for our normal first raid. I did better as arms and beat a few people I wasn't expecting to. Arms for me 🙂

"BiS" as a concept is a bit of a rough thing to begin with, so always take it with a massive grain of salt. When it comes to weapons, shoot for ilvl over secondaries. That sword was chosen because when compared against all other options (and with all other pieces of gear available) it came out ahead in testing. I wouldn't ever strive for achieving bis, just be sure to sim as you go.

not especially no, though they were pretty volatile already. A lot of the AoE fights can do either, and top logs have both. Time will help them settle into a clearer choice, but the tuning buffs shouldn't impact much there.

honestly just use your best judgement. Using Catalyst to get 4 pieces of tier is a dps gain, but you lose a catalyst charge (which are time-gated IRL). I'd recommend using the catalyst charge on a piece of Hero gear at least, which is farmable via M+.
I'm saying you should blow catalyst on a Champion (or lower) piece of gear, since you can acquire a higher piece of gear with some patience and effort.
ideally you use it on Myth track, but that's where your judgement comes in on whether you want to get tier now, or have a stronger piece later.
