I think FOL is a lil weak for arms but it's so massive for fury QOL I want it
other big requests are changing Juggernaut, working in some versions of the S3 Slayer tier set

the benefit of being part of the hero tree is that its all balanced together, so it doesn't really matter if Fan of Longswords specifically is worse for one and better for another
if it were a class or spec talent, then its a little trickier, because you need to account for the opportunity cost - no matter how cool Fan of Longswords is, it has to compete against other talents you could put that point into
Just like Titanic Rage for Fury right now - really cool talent that has good gameplay, but it's absolutely horrible from a performative standpoint, you'd be better off putting the point in practically any other talent instead, even though you want to play with it

we had a really cool idea for the SoS cluster
- Move Improved Sweep (duration) to where Storm of Swords is
- replace old Improved Sweep with "Sweeping Strikes hits 1 additional target" still on a shared node w/ Collateral
The result is that you could now talent Collateral + Long Sweep or you could talent Long Sweep + 3 target Sweep, which gives you more options for different encounter types (e.g. council fights)
that gives you options for fights that have a short period of two target (short lived add), fights that have extended 2 target (dreadlords), fights that are three target (soul hunters), and heavy multitarget

I suspect we'll see more specs gain Whirling Blades (Prot's random Ravager proc)
but my favorite idea is to make Ravager automatically drop whenever you use Avatar (or could be CS, but not both)
That still makes it passive, but keeps it controllable, which is IMO better than Prot's random short Ravager proc
I like the sweep idea, I've always hated how collat feels, so having 3 targets +extend would be fun

Yeah that's what I was just mentioning above - I think that's the easy solution, since the talent is already built, but we already have a lot of sources of random proc damage, and I'd rather keep control in the hands of the player by tying it to a major CD instead
that also emphasizes the value of those CDs a little more, helping address complaints of weak cooldowns

- I like the idea of Rav w/ Avatar because it is a major CD and keeping it on a 90s cycle allows it to be a little more powerful (though it also creates more cross-tree dependency, which is awkward)

personally I lean towards keeping Ravager w/ Avatar on a 90s CD, and then reducing Bladestorm down to 1m baseline to match Fury
- when combined with Slayer, that gives you Bladestorm ever 20-30s or Ravager every 90s, which I think is a really good contrast between the two talents
- if you instead had Rav w/ CS, you'd have Bladestorm every 20-30s or Ravager every 20-30s, which is a little too samey IMO
again though, this is all from my perspective of creating diversity and more gameplay options, not necessarily more equal options

I think the simplest fix for Warlords is cut the rage portion entirely and just extend the duration to cover all of Avatar
- basically making Avatar +20% damage and +20% crit for 20s
It's not the flashiest talent, but it would be pretty good
Yeah any ring just replace it. It's not a big deal
a decently itemized 704-710 should be within 0.1-0.3% damage, but also gives ~1.2-1.3% more stamina, which is a worthwhile tradeoff
And a normal ring isnt bugged

issue is the current 6s buff isn't even long enough to cover CS, much less Avatar, and Arms' damage isn't that concentrated (outside of Demolish, which isn't always available for the first 6s of Avatar w/out delaying one or the other)
I do really like how arms is a more sustained spec, I know that's not the best dmg profile, but it's fun

- I don't think Bladestorm actually adds that much CD bloat. Yes, strictly speaking its an extra keybind the same way Ravager is, but it doesn't fit into the rotation the same way
- because Colossus uses Ravager and Slayer uses Bladestorm, making Ravager passive would also compensate for the extra keybind that Colossus has in Demolish
The big difference between BS and Ravager is that you're using Ravager to get to something better (Demolish), whereas Bladestorm is the something better

Your next MS after this cleave applies a DoT that deals some % of the total detonated DoT damage
Itd be some funnel with some actual interaction with our bleeds
I run sks rn it just feels boring to press. Getting a longer cd ability that was actually meaty would be ideal i think
Having it integrated into a passive would be nice to avoid some of the bloat tho, and tying it to execute would maybe make execute feel good to press in m+ again

e.g. Season 1 and 2 Slayer and Thane using the exact same talents and playing the exact same way for Fury other than one uses TBlast on proc and the other uses Execute on proc
as opposed to Season 3, where Slayer hard focuses RB and Exe, while Thane hard focuses BT and TB
- are they significantly different? No, they're still both Fury specs which means they're gonna do a lot of the same stuff, but they're not downright identical either

If you're pushing keys with a set group, it can also be worth considering the rest of your comp
e.g. if the other two people have great ST but lacking AoE, you may want to lean more into AoE to make up for that, and vice versa

You should certainly be doing more than 4m dps on a single target fight if you do the rotation ability priority correctly, so if the addon is up to date with everything, it should help you see where you went wrong before

That's how you get obscene power creep. It's hard to see balance until gear is more standard as it changes the power of different specs in different ways.
You need to balance from both ends and need to account for many variables like over and underperforming individual abilities.

Have idol on its own bind. You want to cast it before your burst window happens, so you dont want to tie it to Avatar/etc since you'll eat your Avatar GCDs sitting there channeling, instead of doing dps

it's all personal preference + racial kits basically.
The passive crit bonus Worgen gets isn't strong enough to make it stand out for Arms much. For example, Human's passive outscales it as you get gear.
and the rest of the worgen kit doesn't really add that much either (compared to things like Shadowmeld, Stoneskin, etc)
but if you like it? Go for it!

Im looking at logs of #1 Plexus kill and comparing to my best Plexus kill. Im trying to make sense of why Fearmyrage mortal strike avg cast is 600k more and why his execute avg cast is 1mil more. Our stats are similar, he has 3ilvls and about 13k str on me, i have way more crit. We had all the raid buffs, particulary mystic touch. His fight was a minute shorter than mine, but we had comparable cast numbers (so he obviously played better overall). But i can't get my head around why ALL his casts are way higher average cast damage. Any 50lb brains know what im not understanding?

dumb question but whats the thinking behind one against many vs arterial bleed and SKS/no SKS. im sorry for the direct @ but im just curious. same for the shockwave knockup talent respectively.
im assuming arterial bleed is only optimal in like 12+ at best/optimal tanking styles where one against many is decent vs lower counts?
arterial is ok, just depends on target counts - technically good at really high targets, actually getting rend up on all of them isn't super reliable and packs that big tend to die fast (or you do)
one against many is a lot more consistent in that regard, with or without sks
The love for Art is mostly for the ST gain

so basically bleed is better on toddler pulls and giant pulls

You’re only ever using tc to apply rend to a group
So it should be in your opener, and then not thought about again
When you get good at optimizing you can think about reapplying rend but I would recommend not worrying about it.
