Dslice is fine enough, it's all somewhat informed guesswork for dungeons since there's no perfect way. Some folks use multi-target boss sims, some people do shorter burst sims, there's no one perfect answer

just ignore the breakdown and rather focus first on some mid range keys and farm heroic gear so you will aim for a +8 for mythic vault.. or if you cant get into these .. at least do +7 to get heroic track gear inside the key. that will boost your char alot 🙂 and then try ofc heroic raid clear. and you will be easy soon 500-515 gear 😄 and then come back and see for improvements 😄

If you are competent, BSL is the better embellishment in almost every scenario. Vera bracers and shadow flame embellishments are also an option and doesn’t depend on how good you are at staying above 90% hp

I went with 2x BSL according to some top warr I found, but I lack their expertise to realize I should not have slept on the Diurna ring (the shield one not the damage one). Apparently it heals for a lot more than I thought, really makes healer a lot less stressed, and for classes such as warr/hunt it makes a big diff in BSL uptime

I've got two pairs of gloves the exact same, same stats apart from Crit and Mastery. The ones with Mastery have like, twice as much of it than the Crit gloves - although I understand that Crit is generally preferred, it feels like I'm being baited into thinking that twice as much Mastery is like, way better than the crit gloves. I have a vague understanding of softcaps (although not familiar with the actual values rn, I'm guessing around 40% mark?) but it's not actually got twice as much Mastery to Crit value, right? I can't make sense of, if it is the case that some items just have twice as much of a specific stat, why that is?
