In single target you'll basically be Mortal Striking often enough that downtime was either unavoidable or the rotation is being played wrong (and the focus should be on the rotation, not the buff, which is a byproduct).

In AoE the same basically applies, where Cleave is being used often enough that your 4p is always up. This is because Cleave should only be used in higher-target scenarios, and since your 4p procs from Cleave critical hits you have a very high chance to reproc the 4p, since it can be procced by any of the individual Cleave hits against (your many targets) for 6 seconds. You're usually using Cleave more frequently than 6 seconds, and each time you press it you have a tremendously high chance to trigger the tier.

• ie: Say you have 40% crit
• Cleave gets 15% more atop it from your 2p
• You should only Cleave in 3+ target scenarios (some nuance here, but for the sake of simplicity)
• My statistics is a bit rusty, but this should math out to basically a ~73% chance for one of them to crit if you hit all three targets (65% three times)
• You cast cleave more than once every 6 seconds (minus bladestorm spinning time perhaps)

Couple of questions about arms M+, specifically for how to do optimal AOE. Been playing it for two weeks now and trying to troubleshoot.

1. How do you typically open on a pack? Charge -> TC -> Roar -> Ava + WB -> WW -> Cleave -> Bladestorm?
2. Based on the updated APL that was posted, can I basically hit cleave after it stacks to 2 or should I also be sending it at 1 if I have nothing else to press outside of TC filler?
3. For sweeping strikes, I basically prioritize OP for filler and use cleave or MS at 2 stacks depending on target count? Also, am I still sending WW on CD even during sweeping strikes?
4. Do you still bladestorm during execute phase in ST (<35%)? If so, what is its prio?

Im honestly not sure about cleave because you’re just using it for maitenence on DW and 4p. SS with your st abilities only: ms >op / ww only when these are on cd for AM. Also for bladestorm I generally don’t use it in st, if I do it’s at the start at 35% before I hit 35% if that makes sense.
