Have a few questions about arms M+ prio after looking through the guide; I'm trying to simplify it a bit for myself:

1. Cleave: you only press this at 3+ targets if it's buffed with OP or if deep wounds is about to run out (I'm assuming the latter doesn't happen often)? So you'd virtually never press it without the OP buff, but you would send it with just 1 stack of buff?

2. Mortal Strike: in AOE, you pretty much only send if it's buffed with OP x2 and you have sweeping strikes up?

3. Execute: in AOE, you only send this on sudden death procs (not if it naturally lights up at <35% health)?

4. Where does most of your AOE damage actually come from in terms of breakdown?

Also, what exactly would setting up your bladestorm window look like ideally? Or are you just sending it on CD after other CDs (troar, csmash, avatar) have been spent?

FoB is filler. You only care about OP, so you spend OP charges then WW to get a reset, OP, WW, OP, etc.. cleave at 2x martial prowess

Cleave is used on 3+ without Sweeping and 5+ With, It's worth sending whenever it's up since if your WW is on CD and you send 2xOP into 1 cleave then you have very few decent aoe options for your next global outside Tclap which isn't desireable. Cleave also can give you more OP procs to send more OP/Dreadnaught damage which is good

2. MS is used for Prio damage in AoE packs for mobs that should die first (very important on bolstering weeks), and for overall optimal damage you can send it with 2 OP stacks at 5 or less targets with sweeping up, or 2 targets without sweeping

3. Execute outside of prio damage even with SD procs isnt that great for overall aoe damage, So even with a SD proc unless i have nothing else good to press i ignore it. However like i said prioing down important kill targets makes it worth using. Overall damage isnt everything.

the main issue with OP is Dreadnaught

and becuase of sweeping strikes DN gets double the value from a single cast compared to like cleave

the button does far too much damage however with the recent PTR changes for TWW they have made some massive steps to making our core aoe button "cleave" way better

there are some pulls currently where cleave exists just to spread deep wounds so everything takes % bonus damage from Dreadnaught because of how much it has been buffed over the expansion

you still want to send cleave at 2 stacks of martial prowess, but its really weird how disgustingly strong OP is as our filler button

but that is being remedied so less to worry and think about since i havent even done the math on when Overpower has prio at X target counts becuase i simply dont want to

OPx2 cleave -> OPx1 cleave -> OP -> cleave?
Mostly wondering when OP has actual higher prio; I'm guessing it's when cleave has no damage buff.

Below 4 targets, the usual ST rotation with MS, OP, and exe will outpace most of our proper aoe buttons

But MS is on CD for 3 abilities

So depending on your rage levels, you will either want to Execute, execute, OP, MS. Or sometimes Ex x3 then MS

But of an easier way to look into it. But as soon as you’re below 40 rage, you want to OP. Pretty rare to execute 3x without dropping below that. Maybe with ravager
