as for BSL, I've made my feelings pretty well clear
- it's absolutely an option for people who enjoy the gameplay or sense of accomplishment in managing good uptime
- it does have room to fail, and from all the logs I've looked at, raw uptime definitely does not tell the full story in M+
- it's a very small optimization either way, so just use whatever you like and don't worry about it too hard; if you like BSL, run it. If you don't feel you're a strong enough player/groups or worrying about uptime gets to you, feel free to skip it

back to this bit, @clever ore, Ashkandur is definitely an option, though I'm not sure it's really the best option to spend your dinar on
- it sets you back on other purchases, and unless you're incredibly unlucky, you will eventually get the axe
- because most players have the axe, you should have pretty free reign on any weapon drops (competing only with Fury OH, which is probably a dying breed this tier)
- while Ashkandur is the second best weapon, it isn't any higher stats/ilevel than any other regular weapon drop - so what you really need to do is compare the value of the effect to whatever else you would spend your Bullion on (probably Eranog Ring)

SR ranks in the top couple buttons of all time in terms of feel. Its up there with old blade dance dodge

And although I haven't looked specifically at it, I'm pretty certain that the Eranog Ring effect beats Ashkandur's effect, at least on non-humanoid (which is the majority of enemies you'll face) - remember that even without the axe, helm enchants (and SF if you use it) will still proc the ring
So in summation, I would probably just buy the Eranog Ring, put effort into looting literally any weapon over purchasing Ashkandur, and hope the axe drops sooner rather than later

If you don't have sweeping strikes up, then Cleave at 3+ targets.
If you have sweeping strikes up, then Cleave at 5+ targets.
It breaks even at 4T, so you can cleave at that target point as well. But could also prio something with MS.

However, if you want to braindead it... cleave at 4 targets with sweeping. Its a slight loss but you dont have to think about it.

To be fair. FoB this season works. Only because SD procs in aoe is devalued aka a dead global. Doesn't provide tactician for more OP, and you'll rarely use the EP stack unless you're prio. FoB makes it so every whirlwind resets OP for more dreadnaughts in aoe.

Here's a reference sim of FoB + Cleave, vs standard s4 Cleave build for m+.
What the FoB sim ends up liking to do, during sweeping:

And here is swapping SoA to imp sweeping for the standard build, just to keep it consistent since FoB prefers imp sweeping
Single target for reference as well. So it's a decent tradeoff for boss vs aoe. Swapping back to SoA for standard will widen that gap, too. This is just imp sweeping for both builds.
Essentially trading any gains you would have in single target, for aoe and vice versa. FoB will perform better in consistently big pulls in a practical setting.

it's good, but I'd recommend doing a combination of DS, Patch, and ~5 targets... at least until you learn the ins and outs of everything
cause they each kinda lean towards different things - DS emphasizes boss damage and low target cleave, 5 or 7 target sims are just full AoE blast

could it be that tier sets in this expac make a MASSIVE dps difference? I came back at the end of season 3 to the game and therefore got no tier set. I sim 180k dmg at 488ilvl. I see people around the same ilvl, with 4p season 3 set who sim over 300k (the ones i looked up was a wl and a dh, since they were in my group and pulled far more dps than I did).

There's already a technical bis setup in the Wowhead guide, or on simulationcraft.org in the profile for Arms. On top of this, there's very limited choice for gear this season because almost every slot possible is filled with either crafted gear, or a special effect item

Assuming you've played the previous season, the raid rotation stays the same, except SD gets moved under MS in priority instead of above SD. As for AoE, you talent Cleave now for M+ and any applicable Raid boss, like Council

The priority however in M+ is very muddled, since there are just a lot of buttons you want to juggle, and it all depends on target count and context

Avatar with roar is the only really useful one I think
Roar then avatar if your doing a bladestorm, otherwise Avatar then Roar
(Depending heavily on if your using the shorter cooldown on roar)

WW if Storm of Swords > Cleave at 5 or above targets and no priority target + 2 OP buffs > MS at 4 targets with SS active and 2 OP buffs > OP > MS at 2 targets without SS active > TC
If there's a priority target, you'd prioritise MS on that target no matter the target count

I think the easiest thing to say would be that Macroing will reduce your versatility, but in some situations it can be helpful if limiting depending on your keybind availability and dexterity

Yes I’m aware and i disagree With the list due for a number of reasons. A big one is the cloak from the raid they took, you lose a ton of stam and it’s just not worth it in my eyes. It looks good on paper but not in practice in my experience
