Ok so I'm down to either a 5060 for 1800dkk (240eur) or a 5070 for 3500dkk (440 eur)

The 5060ti for 3000dkk sale is sold out so now it's 3300, so for a 200 gap it's pointless.

So 5060 or 5070 is double the price.

I play on 1080p 165hz with a 7800x3d and a 1080ti and LITERALLY 98% of what I play is wow and I rarely had any intent or big desire to play AAA/intense games..

Wow is very cpu dependent and you have a decent cpu, but your gpu is so old, you could get a 5060, but it only has 8gig of vram. Fine for wow, but you want at least 12gb for a lot of games, ideally 16gb. But thats a huge generalisation

and there are ips monitors selling for over 500 with their own set of issues. there isnt a single monitor on the market that can compete with the xl2566k in competitive shooters for the same price besides other zowies. the monitors are extremely well tuned and built, dyac is ahead of every other strobing tech (except ulmb2 which is equal but gl finding a monitor with it under the price of zowies). these new fast tns have wide gamut support srgb the only bad thing is viewing angles which is irrelevant cause u are sitting right in front of it anyway.

yeah im focused on high refresh rate and backlight strobing cause thats the point of the monitor. its literally built for games where both refresh rate and backlight strobing play a big role. if u care about image quality zowie is not a consideration. if u only play competitive shooters (especially lan) its ur first choice

wow isnt a competitive shooter, and I get why you like it, but its so trash in other areas that it makes no sense for the massively inflated price. It also only works for crap like overwatch, cs, fortnite etc, because the contrast is too poor to differentiate subtle colours properly of people camping.

Eg I occasionally do some stuff in photoshop, or video editing, but id never buy a $2000+ professional grade panel just for that as its utter trash at everything else, especially gaming.

If you truly only play a small handful of shooters at a level where you need that high a refresh, then sure, its a specialised tool for that. I was pugging NK mythic with another warrior from a WR 250 guild yesterday. We were chatting a bit afterwards and he told me he prioritizes using Raging Blow and Execute (with conditions fulfilled) over recasting Rampage during his Enrage windows completely.

Most guides I saw deviate from this a bit and seem to prioritize Rampage recasts over Raging Blow spamming at around Rage cap (some write 115 rage, some 120). He basically told me as long as he's enraged he's pressing RB or Execute if he can, regardless of overcapping rage. I myself was actually just prioritizing Rampage recasts previously, which meant I often recast at like a 100 rage or so.

I usually only get around 75-85 logs on mythic, so there is clearly something I'm doing wrong, but when I tried to follow his advice my Raging Blow dmg seemed to be an extremely high part of my overall (in a bad way). On some pulls it was like 28%.

What's the right approach here?

Pre-20s I was trying to time spell reflect, or leap out and charge in to clear it. But just the instant button is way nicer

Never swap off boss, get lucky with first tangle of a set and bladestorm aligning for extra pad, get lucky with sudden death procs in general, if running unbridled ferocity get procs a lot

yeah I had bladestorm line up on first 2 tangles when i got r1 but just stay on boss and press your buttons right... it's mostly just that

I also like to make sure to press an execute if possible to keep jugg rolling when you need to run out

9/10 times is this: Group doesnt allow you.

What you can prob do better, dont miss out on RB reaps and make sure to stand so reap hits as many things as possible.

The better your tank gathers it, the less AoE nuke people do, the better your DPS will become

Logs are cursed to review on mobile, and are so different based on pulls and other dps CDs. But this was ours last night and it wasn't smooth at all. 5 deaths.
