like for ex if u have the "hidden" apperance on one guy with extra colors unlocked for it, youll have the extra colors but not the OG hidden color for whatever x alt you have if that makes sense

Would probably not start using motes until your avg ilvl is around 584
cuz that’s like the max ilvl that drops out of normal boxes you get from world quests/regular quests etc and “I presume” mote gear is still gonna be set to your current ilvl if you’re below that
but once u are capped with the type of gear you can get from those boxes can start sending the motes since they’re the ones that go up higher, that and raid/purple box gear
when u get purple boxes tho just open them right away cuz they snapshotted to the Ilvl u got them at
so would maybe save some infinite research turnins until you like adequately satisfied with how many quests/wqs u may have done at max lvl but not a big deal either way ig
