Wow is heavily cpu bound yes, specifically it wants the IPC of individual cores to be as high as possible rather than have many cores. Encoding can be CPU or GPU, but GPU is way faster, and as even the low end cards have stream encoders built in, or can fall back on raw compute, you would be crazy to use the cpu.

I mean queen barely required a weakaura was mostly just keeping track of some debuff timers can easily still have fights that hard with addons gutted
