Lesser will take you like 20-30 minutes, Greater less than 2 hours from when you start… you’ll hit a cap halfway through getting the greater so you gotta wait until the hour comes up
Honestly can prolly get greater in like an hour and a half or less
For the lesser corruption from when you get the quest it takes 2 runs where you clear the 4 other areas
Or more runs if you for some reason don’t clear those in a given run
Greater corruption requires clearing the lost zones 8 times total so you can do that in 4 runs where you just clear those 2 zones for example
So it really takes 6 trips (7 if you include the intro run where you just go kill Thrall or whatever)

I'm a pretty average player (normally around 80-90% parse), so I've normally prioritized passive effects/flat damage procs over things that boost my stats, under the assumption that those will get more value since they aren't as dependent on my skill

There's some logic to that yeah, though considering you can just macro House of Cards into Avatar, it is for all intents and purposes effectively passive
now if your bigger issue is either not pressing Avatar enough or not maximizing your damage during it (bad timing leading to downtime during CDs, etc), then sure the actual passive damage effect may be better still

No I tend to always pop my CDs when they come up/line up with other big abilities, but I do press them
I just tend to hit whatever is lit up/off cooldown and hope for the best
