As far as I know, you dont have to do any goblin quests, nor the ring really. Ring is just a very good item to get for free. Goblin quests probably got some power behind it, but I dont know nor care. As I will farm M+ either way

I have reck on a separate bind that I press before charging, then ava on a separate bind from that

if you press the actual avatar button by itself you get 10 rage because the avatar rage happens before you get the reck from torment

so we are generating 10 rage from the avatar CAST by Berserkers torment

which is why we go up to 80 rage

becuase we then manually cast avatar which is +20 rage

on top of the 40 from charge

you should be pressing reck first anyway

so if you press it after you get the benefit

Even in bis gear sims, the difference is relatively small between AM and RA such that which one is better will probably end up depending on fight timers/mechanics more than which is better in a vacuum

AM gets punished more by downtime than RA, but if AM creates preferable cd timings (like on mythic brood) then it could be better too
