I think the rage spent and durations would be the things that needs changed. My thinking behind sudden death was not allowing it to overlap too often, so that we don't become execute range kings and just snipe low hp mobs. As fun as that is, I don't find it helpful in m+ (though it could be for chaining). It could be a shorter window and just any executes, sudden death or normal.
