You're not gonna feel a pronounced difference, it's more that pooling just doesn't do much for you, though it does run the risk of overcapping or dropping stacks during downtime

The downside is that it's a random proc on two random targets, so how effective that healing may be is kind of up in the air - if you had an entire raid running it, it absolutely adds up to a lot of healing, but individually? I doubt you'd replace a healer with it

most raid AoE is intermittent burst, which impacts Radiance's value since it needs to proc while the adds are up - something like Broodtwister is the only place I'd really consider it superior since you're practically always hitting multiple targets

but for Ulgrax, Bloodbound, Rasha, even Court, you spend the majority of your time hitting just one target

It's also worth recognizing that AoE damage checks are typically pretty low, so killing them a second faster has negligable value, whereas ending the fight sooner is typically better for everyone... so when in doubt, go for single target
