For now I'd just craft ascendance on your spark wep as well then, and then later craft a barding on another piece of gear whenever you replace your offhand, unless gold is no object for you then you can just recraft the ascendance off your pvp wep now while also retaining the ilvl, and instantly craft the barding too

because you are hurting your guild group as well. If you raid in a guild, and sitting on trinket becuase you hope to get one from raid, that raid drop could also be going somewhere else on the team. In some cases it's kind of selfish.
