Often they'll bar access to dungeons behind level requirements, I honestly can't say for sure I didn't touch them until I was 80

But you'll need to do quests to unlock stuff in the story anyways so it works out

You should continue with the main campaign, later on you will unlock dungeons as you get to 80, once at level 80 you can start working on gear with Heroic dungeons
