a big thing to keep in mind is that stats do not have the same budget.
to get 1% haste you need 660 rating, to get 1% mastery you need 500 rating.
So if you have 10k rating and you put it all in haste you get 15.15% haste while if you put it all in mastery you get 20% mastery

so even if 1% haste and 1% mastery both increase your dps by 1%, mastery would still be more valuable because you need less rating to get that 1%

A super simple explaination of warrior:
When you press whirlwind, you will cleave your next 4 abilities (so they do damage to more mobs)
Your recklessness and Avatar are your "big cooldowns" They make u hit harder for a while.
Your thunderous roar and Bladestorm are big aoe abilities to smack a lot of mobs (you usually use these when u use the other "big cooldowns")
Bloodthirst and Raging blow give you rage. Rage is like mana we need it to press our main "spending ability"
Rampage is our "spending ability" that one consumes the Rage. This will make us "Enraged" (which makes us deal more dmg for a few sec)
Execute is a big d button when mobs are below a certain % hp to do dmg on them and also get some rage
Because you have Reckless Abandon, whenever you press Rampage (main spender) your bloodthirst and raging blow (builders) transform into -
Bloodbath instead of bloodthirst (basically a big d version of it) and Crushing Blow instead of Raging Blow (same thing, big d version)

This should get u going for a while
