Noob Zug here - I have a Gorehowl 483 6/6 hero and a soulcleaver from raid 6/6 hero. I have a crafted sword @486 is technically a 3% upgrade. But I'm reading on wowhead how gorehowl is usually BiS aside from Fyrakk's axe. I'm just having a hard time trusting the 3% upgrade, because my crafted sword obv doesnt have the demonsbane stat. as long as you're enraged and not overcapping rage it's fine to delay rampage by a gcd or 2

That's also going to contribute to not getting 99/100s

If you're taking 40 seconds longer to kill a boss than the people getting 99s its a little harder to pull the same dps

you ideally want to kill bosses right after the 2nd set of cooldowns, on smolderon it's a bit harder, for max parse you want the dps to be low enough that you get the a full 2nd intermission so you can get a set of cooldowns in execute phase

i would say its very very unlikely to get 99s or around that without a good fight time

Less likely, still possible with decent RNG or if your group isn't taking all the pad on those fights

But looking at his kill times, they're pretty much in the same range as the 99s

i mean logs at that level are already super competitive

and when you kill a boss 30 secs after you cds ended vs someone that kills it just when theyre about to end

you cant make that lost damage up

RNG does play a part also - there's 1:45 and 1:50 volcoross kills being beaten by 2:30 logs. Quite a few different factors that will all bump you up/down if you look at one single run
