We did normal fyrakk yesterday, supposed to be a one shot turned out clown fiesta. He saw logs and after much thought came to conclusion that his parse numbers are lower than 20.

to be honest parses really arent going to mean much when youre really low item level like 460, he's basically competing against every warrior that's ever killed normal fyrakk, a lot of which are way higher ilvl than that

a lot of his gear also seems to not be upgraded so i guess first order of business if possible would be for him to upgrade gear as much as possible, a lot of those costs wyrm crests but like, weapon foremost is one of the most important upgrades for dps

also if he has the extra gold he's willing to spend getting enchants even if they are only rank 2 or something would be a decent boost

such as wafting/sophic devotion on weapons and waking stats to chest as well as just say devotion of mastery on rings for now

also try and suggest for him to use roar on fyrakk instead of spear, it'll def feel a lot better and he'd prolly do more just by swapping to that

spear is really annoying to make work on that boss and in general roar is just way better of a choice

I looked very briefly since I'm on phone, his rotation is wack, he double casted rampage many times, he first used his CDs 16 seconds into the fight, first used odyns fury 20 seconds into the fight

yea that also seems to be the case, hit cooldowns as soon as they're up, and at the basest of levels without thinking too much about rage and all that, try and get him to hit bloodbath/bloodthirst every other global

so like an example small window of hitting buttons not during cooldowns (odyns stacks) would be like rampage > bloodbath > slam > bloodthirst > rampage > bloodbath > whirlwind > bloodthirst > slam > bloodthirst > rampage or something along those lines

so semi tl;dr i guess to make it a bit easier to type/translate
-upgrade gear if he can
-buy enchants if he can
-should definitely swap to using roar instead of spear
-dont hold cooldowns and odyns fury for any reason pretty much
-get 4set by catalyzing any shoulder/pants drop from current content
-hit bloodbath/thirst more often to help with odyns cdr

compared to the rest of his gear his trinkets are surprisingly not that bad, room to improve ofc but def doing good enough on that front for now

but most rank 2's shouldnt be that bad and they're definitely better than nothing

i think upgrading gear if possible and getting 4set is probably the most important "preparation" things to focus on, like outside of the raid

and in the raid just swapping the 1 talent and using cooldowns more liberally

which to be fair isnt that big a deal without 4set but at 4set is when bloodthirst becomes a much more important part of your rotation

uh yeah t31 talents is correct for the new set, his bloodthirsts (ideally bloodbaths) are boosted by the 2set

the 4set just gives you cooldown reduction on odyns fury for hitting bloodthirst, so he would cast odyns more often, which gives you more empowered bloodbaths

yea overcapping rage is typically more of an issue where rage was a huge important part of our talents last season, where anger management required you to spend as much rage as possible i.e. rampage is top priority the instant it becomes available

this season there isnt any of that, and so while you wouldnt want to ignore hitting rampage when youre at 130 rage for like 10 seconds its not like you should scratch out your eyes if you go slightly above rage cap for like 1 global during your cd rotation of ramp > bb > ramp > bb

I got my leggo and ember. But there's still no empirical reason to do normal or LFR after killing on HC. Any BLP will have been applied on the HC kill.
The embers are just a visual to keep occupied. They have to apply BLP upon kill regardless of getting an ember or not. Regardless of an ember being used or not.

Our MT and ST dps profiles are very similar so it's not a bad idea to just use your top gear ST set and swap out trinket(s) for bust. Keeping Augury if you have it. Or you can run a handful of varying sims of length and fight and even dungeon slice and compare and contrast and end up at the same place at the top gear recommendation
