I just don't see the benefit for me personally of using it at this stage where I have currently (albeit by my own self) placed myself in. I used it in the beginning of the season, when noone had any kind of gear yet ready and it was indeed saving. Now though? I have never used it outside of the heroic raids in first 2 weeks and whilst gearing all the way trough 18s. Then, It just became obsolete due to the sheer amount of damage enemies dished out and even then - there was either a competent healer that had it under control, or paladin that was offhealing on the same level as a healer
Again - different perspectives, different styles of game, different levels all that jazz.

To actually start, I did later realize the difference between paladin defensive aura and warrior defensive stance.

Seems like you're relatively new (at least to the warrior class) so it's very simple: we have really good defensives (enraged regen, defensive stance, spell reflect) and they are all good options for you to play. Spell reflect can even be used offensively. It depends on the key range you're doing but typically the higher you go, the more value your defensives and crowd control abilities will have.
Right now, with our current gear, if you're doing low keys or mid-range, like 16, 18 or 20, then it more-or-less won't matter what build you run as long as you know how to play the class and don't fumble.

When you get to higher range, speaking 24s, 25s and so on, mobs tend to live longer, their abilities do more damage and become more dangerous and need to be constantly CCd. Then the value shifts towards using those abilities rather than offensive abilities.

Boss mechanics also start to hurt a lot more and you will be force to use defensive stance unless you want to die.
Example: final boss in Black Rook Hold. His first shadow bolt will deal insane damage on high tyrannical and, if you don't use your defensives, you will certainly die.

if you aim for playing 20s for 2/4 myth track vault, then arms and fury both are fine (if you get invited lol). if you aim to play keys arround 28-30 then warrior is still garbage and there are way better classes for ppl to invite into keys in that range

We use 5t, because we are capped. To find the optimal consistent DPS point. We use 1t to find optimal ST damage.
If you know a boss fight is 2 min, you sim 2 min.
Sims are just data, you need to put it to use to solve your question

People get so wrapped up in trying to figure out MT sims. Just use your top gear recommendations and swap out trinkets. Or trinket if you have Augury. It’s that simple with fury warrior dps profile so similar for ST and MT.
