i made a small sim just because i was curious, didn't bis every slot, just made 2 separated build replacing my mf/oh with same ilvl gorehowl/incandesent and the T31 st build from wowhead. and a SMF build replacing AJ and Masacre on the wowhead build for the SMF talents and using same ilvl Gholak and crafted 1h sword just to see how big was the difference.

Hm, that will be my new fyrakk strat. Go BDK and a pally mate, kill the raid with double seed. Kick them and then finish the last 5% with the tank after most are gone

Not counting leggo axe, people have simmed a 1hander in OH and it needs to be 8-10+ ilvl higher than a comparable 2hander to be higher dps. Factor in the ease that one can get 2handers from raid, dungeon or crafted and there really is no reason to go SMG unless you like the look and are fine doing much less DPS than you could be doing at your gear/ilvl.
