I have a Prot Warrior theory question if anyone could help me understand this please!! Since Shield block gives you 100% block chance. What is the point in having any mastery at all? Mastery #1 increases block chance, #2 it increases your critical block chance. The tooltip/buff on "shield block" ability says "blocking ALL melee attacks."

My question I guess is, if I can have 100% uptime on shield block, what value does having mastery serve?

Im confused on the ability shield block, when our mastery has built in block chance. I can keep my shield block up about 90% of the time already. Is mastery only serving the purpoose of blocking more dmg or crit dmg?
