You can force stomps as needed and just SR them.
No real trick there.

youre still dead if 2 casts go off
and that requires 400 vers to only get those few % of DR, which you lose in other places
at best the only noticable difference which you could feel would be going from 0% to 30% vers (1200 vers)

9.1.5 iirc a good defensive pairing of trinkets for M+ was aegis + matrix. On the surface it looks as though prototype is similar behaviour to matrix. The only numbers I can see on prototype is the 21% of healing done that someone mentioned above.

It's a lot of haste but it also requires you to stand still in that zone to get the full benefit. Feel like that'd be hard to take advantage of, especially when trying to use reprisal.
