Are you a world first raider? Do you push super high keys? If you answered no to either of those questions your choice of tank spec will be less impactful then learning how to play a specific class

Different tank specs have different strengths. Warrior has the best mitigation, so you can line up certain pulls, then hold them still for longer than others can, allowing dps to kill stuff quicker

yes but it's 85% of whatever the hit was going to be, so take a 100k hit, it would be 15k. So if you have the avatar 10% reduction you now only get hit for 90k without blocking but if you hit an 85% crit block you now only get hit for 13.5k. Which works out to be an 86.5% reduction

You can also cycle through Demo Shout, Last Stand, Shield Wall, Scale/Aegis if it still hits really hard. But you should be able to spell reflect every other one, so you should have plenty of cooldowns
