this is how i usually do it but you can do it the other way

stand near wall so you dont get knocked around. let the group go back towards where you came and drop orbs - you go to gate (where boss spawns)

then you can pull him back towards the gate while orbs go towards you

idk maybe not "optimal" way of doing it but that's how i do it and i haven't had any issues 🤷‍♂️

Formula to calculate damage reduction from block
