In Sanguine Depths, on Beryllia, I usually make sure i have SB up for Iron Spikes, and I ensure I have reflect up for Rite of Supremacy cast, and I pretty much do not take damage.
I ran a mythic earlier, and though I felt I did the exact same thing I would normally do, I was taking damage through iron spikes (not a lot, but noticeable)
The bigger surprise was the rite of supremacy, it took around a quarter to a third of my health bar. Was there a change to the mechanics on the fight that i did not read in the patch notes or something ?

Wrong, on all accounts. I was a statistics major at MIT (ever heard of it?) and I've gone through the logs. I've simmed all the scenarios. The big picture is Tanking is one of the least advanced specs this game has ever seen. The required knowledge, not only about the role, but minute details about core raid mechanics and underlying programming interactions between mobs and players makes tanks the worst role to bring to a raid. The reason top world guild don't stack then is quite simple. You aren't enough PhD level player, such as myself, out there who can compete with mindnumbing hitting DPS buttons.
So while you're selling your AOTC carries, or linking your IO to thots, just know I'm out there improving my gameplay to levels you can't even comprehend.

yea, make sure to use those free revenges right away. in fact, with that first pull I charge, revenge, drop ravager. then charge the mounted mob, revenge, intervene to a party member, revenge. Then i drop avatar + spear and spam revenge. sprinkle in some rage generators and SB + IP.
