I played without game sound for years. But now, turning on โMainโ and โCreature Voice/Emoteโ (or whatever it is, bottom option I think) have been super helpful. Music and ambience arenโt very useful IMO. I also swapped over from DBM to bigwigs, and I like how straightforward it is to customize the sounds and alerts that you need for specific mechanics. Finally, the Ellesmere Dungeon Essentials WA pack is really useful. Gives you those gun blast sounds for all sorts of frontals/melee mechanics, like, for example, the frontal from the melee dudes in HoA

There are a couple of pretty good trinkets. Aegis super good defensive (BSS is still very good as well), Guardian Matrix pretty defensive and offensive mix, Phial good for ST damage and OWS a great stat stick

on the topic of necrolord, what are peoples opinion and experience with banner now that the tier has been out for a while? i feel like the superior single target and group benefits far outweigh the other covenants in raids, but it seems like the playerbase playing it is very small

Although Necrolord is viable, the banner itself is awkward to use; it can only hit two targets and requires you to be close to them. It also requires you to time your banner with their CDs to get max benefit
And just in comparison to NF and Kyrian its just 'less' fun to use, and the benefit is not great enough to warrant a switch

It is definitely incredibly awkward to use, but even ignoring the banner buff you give your allies, the glory legendary gives such a large amount of single target damage for the warrior using it that it's hard to ignore

2nd slot you could use both of phial or ows, just choose depending on preference and key
if you cant keep on pulling to keep the ows buff, then it's kinda bad
if OWS brings you heavily into haste DR (>40%) you should probably consider phial as well
