Hi. I am struggling to gather agro and stay alive at the same time. Not sure how to manage rage in a way that lets me accomplish both tasks as quickly as possible. Reprisal lego makes it easier, but I feel like that Lego is necessary for me to accomplish both tasks ASAP. Any tips? I saw that I should pop avatar as often as possible, and ravage should help me build rage quick but I’d there other stuff I can do? My last healer I ran with said I was taking too much damage (we were both 217 ilvl doing a 10 or maybe 11). Thank you!

Yeah. I am trying to use it as often as possible, I’m even thinking maybe I should be using intervene more (especially on whoever is stealing my aggro) because it will help with all my issues. It just feels kind sucky that the lego is needed to be able to succeed at aggro and defense

it's not actually needed, we didn't have it in s1, but yes prot has some holes that it plugs
you should totally be intervening and charging rotationally
in a M+ there's always something that's going to stop and cast, or you need to leap out to drop stacks of something, etc
you can very easily weave in charges and intervenes completely organically
on top of just stepping away a bit and charging something

How do i log ?
So, if you have been here for a while, you may have noticed that whenever somebody ask for advice we ask them for a log, and if you’re new you might have no idea what that means or how to get one so :
🔸 First, download Loggerhead (https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/loggerhead) or ERT (https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/exorsus-raid-tools)
Once you have one of these any time you enter a zone where you might want a log (ie dungeon/raid/torghast) these addons will automatically start logging (in the case of ERT you have to activate automated logging in the options).
Alternatively if you don’t want to install an addon for it, whenever you are going to do an activity you want to log type /combatlog in chat to start logging said activity.
Remember to activate advanced logging in the options (System -> Network -> Advanced Combat Logging)
All these options will store your logs in your wow file inside the retail folder and the log file.
🔸 Second, go here (https://www.warcraftlogs.com/client/download) download the client. Select the live section of the client, select the upload a log button and select the fight you’re interested in putting up as a log and boom you’re done.
🔸 Third, once you’ve done all this, your log is uploaded you can put it up here and we can look at it together to see if you’re doing something wrong.

people are cringe and will more often than not take a "meta spec" over you, but there are definitely groups that will take you if you have good score/ilvl etc

@ripe peak if you're not risking leap/charge (which is fair) then you just gotta SW the initial hit and when you can't do that, use a healthstone or pop Scale on your way back to the group
or try to get your rally assigned to that trap set so you're a bit stronker
