I have a 220 scale and 200 splintered heart (both from last season obviously) for trinkets and the 226 Tazavesh equal haste mastery neck. In the vault I got options for either 252 consumptive organ (healing slime trinket) or 246 Haste heavy / mastery neck. I know ilvl is key when it comes to most pieces. But I use rely heavily on my cheat death and scale trinkets. Should I just grow up and go for the high ilvl healing trinket or grab the neck for the haste? I had a chad healer last night in the +15 i did..was a Resto Shaman with the DPS legendary that makes Earth Elemental cast Earthquake. Gets my approval.

As long as i survive i support healers doing DPS.

Playing the class correctly helps tankiness.
Weapon increases your damage + some very-very-very minor survivability increases via abilities/stats/str etc.

I was looking at wowpedia to see how block works, but i think it may be out of date, is there a good description anywhere?

wowpedia mentions blocks and critical blocks, and that a block reduces damage by 30% but it doesn't talk about the block stat on the shield

If I’m only raiding heroic, and mostly focused on M+ : should my ‘end game’ gearing strat be to fill every slot with 252ilvl vault gear, or is it still worth having heroic domination shard gear?

yeah so, I already have the scale with 233 and can upgrade it, the necks are out because of the ilvl, legs are blocked by reprisal, which leaves either the ring or the wrist. Wrists are 19ilvl upgrade + dom. socket and the ring is a 16ilvl upgrade so I'm wondering. Without having my current scale, I would immediately take the 246 scale, but now... hmmm... do you have some tips?

hmm..well then; took off old warrior soul..tried it; first full duration invis pot I've gotten in a while. But I want to say I had this bug before I got this trinket? but maybe not..we got it on our first normal mode sylvanas kill..so it was day of 9.1 raid launch. hmm.

The trinket is good, if you are picking between those 2 then the trinket.
Chest is a Dom slot tho so it gains some value but chances are you'll grab a chest in the next few resets from raids anyways so i'd say take the trinket. 🙂

Hook is purely a offensive one.

Very often as a tank you do not need to utilize defensive trinkets; you can survive MORE than well enough with proper play and trinkets become a big part of your dps kit as a prot warrior.

And if you tank keys...nothing beats annhyldes aegis if it's 'tough'
