It usually drops by either 4 or 5 levels so in order to garantee getting a 15 you need to had have gotten a 20 on the drop-week

Thats the whole point of why reprisal is better especially in progession majority of the damage intake on 90% of the bosses is melee and u need to save cds for when they are needed, so take a case of on progression u use the wall great its not back but what if u need to use shield wall at a certain point which is i dunno 40 seconds away from when u have to use it u have now lost value in the wall because i cant use sheild wall and u cant block the hits because your running AM so you just taking alot of damage where repirsal u would have it back and u would block more melees from the boss

So I'm finding that when running AM over HR, I just do not get enough SB uptime with reprisal. I'd have to do some very awkward things like jump out then charge in or intervene a range just so I can charge in again. Does the amount of haste matter when using AM to get better uptime on SB over HR? I'm already making use of stuns to charge and timing it during casts, but with less than 20% haste, I just find myself mostly in a panic which otherwise would not happen if I was using HR

Using SB during a stun happens. I'm not someone who uses SB perfectly according %blocked, but to lose out on some seconds on uptime during actively tanking only to have it be dropped is really punishing and it shouldn't be that way. All of the Covenants are really close on ST so in raid anything works. For m+ Kyrian/NF gain value due to the nature of their abilities. Necrolord is also definitely really competitive even in M+ but it does require more cordination than the other options.

Paired with reprisal, HR gives you 100% uptime on shield block. In the highest of high keys this is an alternative to having to kite whenever block is down (ie. If the key is high enough, you're just dead to white hits w/o block)
But it's a trade off, you will have lower damage, and fewer Shield Wall casts. So if you need sw + block to live, or SW for non-blockable damage, reprisal can be safer
