and since you naturally take less damage when blocking, the yellow bar is a bit misleading

I don't really push keys, but the highest key I tanked was like 19-20 and I just go full damage set up. Granted, I'm like 228 as prot, so I might be overgearing, but dunno if the need for more survivability via a talent choice would be necessary. I feel like, you need to maximize your damage so you don't have to turtle as hard. Otherwise you would kite either way. Just be tanky enough to live thru your CDs while min/maxing damage.

when i know something will hurt i preemtively put up an IP, if its a dot you try to use more IP or if you have literally no block up

have 30% haste and 15% mastery, or 27% haste and 22% mastery
for vers the tradeoff is even smaller
id rather have ~33% more chance on a critblock than 10% more haste ( effectively )

I'm new to Prot Warrior and I'm trying to make the call between Kyrian and Necro. I run with a UDK and SP in m+ so the Necro felt like it might work but I'm wondering if Kyrian out performs it regardless?

Necro in theory sounds good, but in practice plays HORRIBLE, you have to coordinate CD usage and positioning constantly with your people to make sure you actually gain dmg output over other choices. It will no longer be your own CD
Kyrian on the other hand is very strong, great for aggro and doesnt take much planning or thought process aswell as being good in pvp
