well, you get the revenge, 20 rage, and shield block
which means you don’t have to spend rage on a shield block cast
which equals effectively 20 “free” rage on top of the aforementioned 20 free rage
plus, the revenge is free and gives a chance to reset shield slam CD
the wall is a better legendary to “set it and forget it” since it’s relatively comparable dps end game
reprisal edges out a little higher dps-wise but requires more effort/care

I was in a Mythic plus four today trying to carry a group of my warrior who's 219 fury 220 prot. The group was advertised as valor farm but the tank was item level 165 and kept losing agro to everything. I was even waiting till the pack was around 60 to 70% and I would still pull agro pretty quickly.
I died a few times so I said since I don't have too much time left before my RAID I will swap the prop so we can steamroll this. Even in higher keys I can still average well over 4K DPS overall and sometimes over 5K.
Oh but the healer was not having anything to do with that he refused to heal me and after four poles of me not dying without heels he just straight up raged more at me than quit..
Literally I was doing about half a group's damage as a tank but I was the problem and according to Reddit it was very disrespectful of me to do so and the fact that I felt that I was being generous letting my time was a ridiculous statement.
Except for the fact that I join lower level groups all the time to help them cleared faster just to help people out...

Ok So on the H Sire fight during phase 2 second set of adds for some reason I'll taunt swap to Sire the norm, but for some reason Sire will 1 shot me through all my ignore pain and my Sire trinket, I know that part of my problem is that I am still wearing a 197 helm and can't get one to drop for me that I can upgrade through the Valor system, but I can't see why I can't take this specific hit from Sire when I have no issues with any hit before or later in the fight, at this point our raid lead has a specific B-Rez for just right here in the fight is anyone else having this issue?

@hollow bolt yeah, its the elitism helper addon. The addon is pretty spammy and gets annoying fast so you can download a plugin for details to just show you the avoidable damage taken without linking it in the chat
@serene pine as tank when pugging i always go for the simplest route possible. Usually that means to not use any invis skips, cause several times they can make wipe recovery impossible
but mine is just a pug mentality where you can't trust everyone

@serene pine i created a few routes of mine that are very safe. Others are just copied from others. Darkmech one for theter of painfor example is unnecesary for ksm. It will bring you troubles most of the time to skip the first pack. Just do a normal route with pride on 3 bosses and you are fine

Alternatively if you don’t want to install an addon for it, whenever you are going to do an activity you want to log type /combatlog in chat to start logging said activity.
Remember to activate advanced logging in the options (System -> Network -> Advanced Combat Logging)
All these options will store your logs in your wow file inside the retail folder and the log file.
🔸 Second, go here (https://www.warcraftlogs.com/client/download) download the client. Select the live section of the client, select the upload a log button and select the fight you’re interested in putting up as a log and boom you’re done.

I’ve been timing 5/6s comfortably as a 186 ilvl and accepting 185-200 dps. obv higher is better. think I’m gonna start using rio though cause I’ve had 200+ dps put up like 500-600 dps on pulls

I think I was doing like 10-12's when i was around 200 and gearing up this tank alt judging by my rio history, just stayed safe level to have low failure rate since no point pushing higher at that gear level 😛
10's was pretty faceroll it seems cause there was a lot of 3 stars runs there apparently. Also comfortably 2 stars in 12's in the around 200 ilvl runs.

I would say the mechanics were always kind of like that at least for warriors, but I would say not until the invention of “mythic” and high M+ levels came about was it very noticeable

Found that Ignore pain was added back in 7.0.1. Thats when i would say the change happened. Before that i would say quickly picking up mobs, holding aggro and good boss positioning was what made a good tank. Now it’s all that AND balancing your mitigation tools/doing good dps as well. Probably why people see tanking as so daunting. Lots of responsibilities.
I feel like ignore pain was added earlier than that though. Maybe this info is just the current iteration of ignore pain. Not sure, my brain can’t think back that far

Hey, there’s an AddOn called “AddOn Usage” which upon issuing a command in chat will list all AddOns along with memory usage and CPU usage. Might help, hopefully!
If it does confirm it’s WeakAuras, what I’d suggest would be a binary search. Disabling half your WAs and seeing if the problem persists or not, rinse and repeat until the culprit is identified.

yeah there’s a /targetfriendplayer command. so you could do something like
/targetfriendplayer
/cast [exists] Intervene
/targetlasttarget

If you don't have shield block up just cover it with demo shout + ignore pain until you get SB back up. If it is a boss that trucks use wall/last stand, if those are down and you are still without SB use demo shout, IP, and call for an external like ironbark or pain suppression

I like to use spell reflect early on, then demo shout, and then SR can be up again towards the end when stacks are high

i haven't gotten to super high keys (nothing higher than 19 yet), but feel like i don't have to spam IP to stay alive. I usually try to spend rage on damage (outside of keeping SB up) to help kill the damn thing faster lol

i don't try to pug high keys, but for like the 16s i've done I found that if I have avatar/ravager/spear then it usually dies just before 20 stacks even if all dps hold so that helps
