@patent osprey what do you think about andybrew having such a different build on his prot warrior? in terms of running into the fray, show of force and heavy repercussions. I cant figure out what the reasoning is behind it, i get that if youre not running AM then ravager loses a bit of value cause you cant sync it up with almost every avatar, but it still seems like its more rage gen and dmg than into the fray, and heavy repercussions just seems so much worse than AM given that we already have near 100% SB uptime, and the 3 extra rage on SS seems negligible. It feels like since youre going to be kiting at least part of the time anyways, going from 90% SB uptime to 100% isnt very valuable, definitely not enough so to give up avatar and SW cdr.

most of the time you're fine by spending lots of your rage on revenge and keeping up shield block. ignore pain is rather weak compared to shield block, so if you have shield block active you are more often than not fine in the defensive department (other than the first two pulls in DoS etc.) i mostly use ignore pain as an off gcd rage spender to avoid overcapping rage

on another note, that's a healer oil should use stones or shadowcore oil

I was pugging some random heroic nyalotha early'ish..

was with another prot war and he was beating me on every fight in dps and I was like "wtf is going on?" looked at his damage..ALL his actual abilities/casts were way below mine.. and then he pulled a shield from his weekly box with infinite stars on it.

"oh..yeah ok"

My fav part was when I came back to play in that tier, and was doing the catch up stuff..and researching what the best necklace loadouts were.

Well if you ONLY play prot, and think pvp has no place in the game...

Only time i enjoyed PvP was in STV.

Yeah I hated doing it; but I did. When I started WoW forever and ever ago I started for the REASON to do pvp with a friend of mine; and yes getting to and leveling in stranglethorn was awful and fun.

That and eastern? or western? plaguelands or whatever... are what made me come to the infallable, ABSOLUTELY TRUE conclusion...that all people who play rogues are broken trashpeople.

And it was horrible if you weren't.

doing FC as prot can be fun if you use Leaper...gotta be prepared to play as arms for non CTF maps though

in vanilla and BC..I was arms and when I got heavily geared and was good at pvp and could basically kill anyone in the game.. I'd go out to quest or harvest and if I saw an alliance player (was tauren at the time) I'd just /wave and they'd /wave and we'd keep questing...EXCEPT ROGUES.

I remember someone stalking me for like 2 hours just to get back at me.

I would target them and hit enter to type /wave...by the time I hit enter and / they stealthed.

And then they'd proceed to wait until you got low..pester you..die..come back, and keep doing it over and over until they got the a kill.. and it would just slow down your questing/harvesting by like 80%

the only thing i remeber from vanilla was getting a whisper at the end of RFK saying that i was a really good tank because i could hold aggro

I just don't even understand the logic behind it. You aren't proving you're better, or pvp'ing in any real sense...you're JUST sitting there stealthed watching me solo quest mobs hoping I get low hp enough or over pull enough that you can get an easy kill and run away? like..WHY? lol
