you can't wall every one so you have to start separating what you are gonna use and when

IP is something you can always use, so that's where you go first

using IP and wall together is then good if the thing you're about to get smacked by is gonna hurt you massively

but it's not as good if it isn't

you honestly just need to play and get used to identifying when you are weak

im not entirely sure the calculation, but your block value (as seen on your shield) reduced a melee based attack, by that much when you block with your shield, SB or bolster or other
