Guys I want to ask ya something. I want to try out tanking for the first time and I'm drawn towards a warrior. However, everywhere i see (icyveins, wowhead etc) it says that warrior is the worst tank and cant compete with a DH for example. Is it that bad or its not that big of a problem? I remember ages ago I had a problem with the load settings and I had to change the combat tick box and also change the instance/party in there as well... if you mean specifically their tank external like priest pain suppression then that’s just customising which spells it shows which u can do inside the WA

I have read/seen all sorts of doom and gloom stories about how Prot is going to be shit in SL but so far it seems to me like the woes of Prot have been exaggerated? The spec doesn't seem to be that bad, granted I haven't stepped into higher keys yet. Just comparing it with some other tank specs I've tried in SL.

Prot is probably the worst all around tank right now, but balance being so close it doesn’t matter all that much.
It also has the unfortunate aspect of being the one tank spec outside of like VDH that punishes you the hardest for being shit.
So a lot of the people early in the xpac and beta crying about how bad it is probably are just partially bad at the spec itself as well.

Yeah. Looking at veng, they have cheat death and meta. Just being in meta is like 80k+ hp. With that much hp and armour and passive magic mitigation it's hard to go wrong.

If you really want the good advice about which class/spec to pick — go with whatever gameplay or aesthetic you like the most. The way blizzard balances classes makes it entirely irrelevant for most players to go with FotM because they will almost certainly be nerfed into irrelevance.
And unless you’re doing CE in the current raid tier, you can easily clear any content with any spec no problem

Rallying cry is also very useful.
Prot Warrior is still the best physical mitigation tank, and is more than capable of tanking everything absolutely fine in the raid.
