The crit one is only a 2% increase TO crits. which at least with my stat alignment rn is only happens 25% of the time

so 3.5% at 60% uptime > 2% increase at 25% uptime

and assuming the values on wowhead are still right, the difference between them doubles at tier 3

so yes, taking damage to increase verse is better than 2% crit damage

where you 100% need 40s of uninterrupted avatar + a little leech

in order to live

and unless you completely plan out the entire dungeon route to make use of those mondo pulls, its not worth taking
(even then some dungeons arn't worth taking it because your pulls are limited by things that need to be interrupted, or unavoidable group damage more than it is your survivability, in which case VoP is still the go to cause higher dps and overall smoother dmg intake)

Sphere and CnS is your most defensive value and your most offensive value

having lucid as third minor will just help have vers procs and really high uptime on avatar

FYI there is currently a bug in the Patch 8.3 questline for Horrific Visions. If you don't buy a key before doing the first vision, then you do not get quest progress and must do a second vision. Make sure to purchase a key as instructed by the quest before entering the first vision.
