How big of a lock in is a crafted shield for us guys, I am having a hard time weighing it, I have like 3 heroic shields and since a shield drops off the first boss in Mythic I cant decide how much of a hard lock in a crafted shield is because yes I can get my best secondarys but its gonna feel like ass if I craft one and then a few weeks later I kill the first boss of mythic and one drops

This is not the case. In Normal and Heroic they physically can’t get that close while one is in the air cause it will trigger the other to fly away.
You can get the dragons very close without them enraging allowing melee to cleave. On N/H you have to wait till P3 for them to both be down but in mythic you can do it the whole fight.
BLUF: they can get very close without triggering the enrage.

I’m playing with a holy pal as my healer but finding its very grim I don’t have a log to share but I’ll try get one. For example that first pull before tree it’s grim as hell to do in one we wiped. I honestly don’t think currently it’s a good idea to do that initial pull in pugs. A lot of people don’t have a ton of gear and a lot of people are “coming back”
If you have a five stack it may just require practice
