It's kind of hard to know what you're saying is hectic though

The primary gcd buttons you're pressing are shield slam or TC

you want to A) have shield block whenever you're getting hit and B) always be able to press a button every GCD. if you're not failing either of those, you're doing ok on pressing shield block

As long as you're doing those, it's mostly ok

Your ogcds are block or ip not including other cds

if high rage, you press block (if you're close to overcapping) or IP or if you have a free gcd and are free to dps, you press revenge

It's 2 levers, it's really straightforward

Realistically you can just use an addon for most shit. You might have to switch to a different addon in Midnight, but you're likely to have the same options as long as it's not combat related. Mmmmm Liquid Scott (one of the best tanks ever) plays with base ui and I don’t think he tracks really anything unless required by a WA. It’s all subjective to you not what anyone tells you to do.

I use ElvUI because it's easy to fuck with and I don't have to use brain cells to adjust things.
