stand next to the one that's going to go off 2nd (this is the one opposite the one your raid will be moving towards) and just hit a dr. they'll both hit you at roughly the same time. then you just milk the debuff timer a little but you have time before the 3rd ring hits you.

well u dropped to 40 and then probably a hit would have taken u to 30 so it procs both back cause u hit 40% and BSV because u would have been bought below 30%

u get healed at like the exact time that u proc bsv so the incease on the healing smack u back up to like 70% but the damage is already done

they proc and 40% and on the hith that would have tasken u below 30% even if it would just take u to 29% it will proc

this often isnt a good option cos is so slow

the main thing is that NPCs in wow have somewhat predictive movement (i.e. they try to path where you're going to an extent)

Their movement prediction overshoots slightly when you strafe

so they can swing slightly behind you depending on where you are relative to them and how you're strafing

also some NPCs update faster than others (spellcasts tend to stutter some, also older NPCs are most susceptible to this, e.g. when older dungeons are brought back to M+)

you can tell the movement prediction by backpedal strafing, if a mob is fast enough, they can actually end up behind you because backpedal strafe both updates mob pathing really fast + moves you slow

They also try not to overlap their hitbox with any other hitboxes (including yours), which is super abusable for exact positioning

I've always wished someone would fully write down NPC movement behavior for wow somewhere because it's the most important tank thing by far, but no one has afaik

Anyway, if you're trying to move sideways really fast, you should jump a lot more (you can jump to preserve the movement angle and turn slightly to maintain blocking, then turn back to keep jumping)

Hello my fellow warrior experts, I'm a little confused about the usage of ignore pain. To give you some context, I main a Guardian Druid and macroed Iron Fur into Thresh which may not be 100% perfect, but 99 at least. I easily played to 3500 and above with this without any issues.
I tried to do the same for my warrior where I macroed Ignore Pain into Thunderclap. I also started tanking 12-14 keys with ease but it doesn't feel that smooth, because there are additional rage spenders like Shield Block, Revenge and even Execute. If I put all rage into ignore pain, it is sometimes hard to keep Shield Block up which results in lesser Shield Slam damage, Revenge is something I only use when its free to use. Is it possible to use too much Ignore Pain? Does I have to keep it up all the time, which sometimes doesn't even work if I only spend my rage for IP and SB? To add my own feedback:
We don't care about revenge procs. You press Revenge when SS and TC aren't available and have spare rage; it's just a filler when you have neither generator.
Expanding on IP, we don't care if it's capped either; you will always press IP if you're over 70 rage to feed Anger Management. Rage should never overcap (you wasted 360 rage in that dungeon).

I'm an m+ only player, so i wont be able to get the raid trinket on 730 ilvl, is it still an upgrade and a must have on hero track?

Sim is relatively accurate, but can extend the fight length to something like 10mins to see what it's damage roughly is when the uptime is fully stacked for a majority of the time.

Technically shield is your most important upgrade per ilvl, but as long as you can maintain uptime brand is generally your bis even if it's only hero

Though you're kinda looking at stuff that isn't in your control. Rend and Deep Wounds take care of themselves; they aren't things you manage or care about

I will say that more revenge casts does not mean more deep wounds damage though. It's a long bleed and the damage is static. Unless you're just not Revenging at all, you're keeping it active

The logs you're comparing to may also be running Bloodborne, which is a fairly common filler point taken by high key players. That's a 25% difference in Rend/Deep Wounds damage

I pop shield wall, maxed ignore pain and shield block but sometimes it seems like I die even without losing that much of health or procing reshii wraps, can someone help me to figure it out please ?

Lately I break my shield a few times in key wondering why I was loosing hp fast and why I couldn’t use shield slam. Durability on shield for prot warrior is a big thing now. I always carry blacksmith anvil to repair on the go but nimchip is right we have to get used to repair after each dungeon.

First boss of arakara hits our shield like a truck.

Though it opens a debate: why is durability a thing and what’s its purpose, is it still relevant in the game to keep that thing ?

Haste is not always the most efficient DPS stat, but it is the way to reach 100% SB uptime. That is why ya hear ppl talk often about getting 20-25k

Sims will tell you to stop getting haste before you should stop getting haste because other stats become better for dps and that's all sims care about. You should be getting 21k or more (depending on personal comfort) despite what sims say, so you can run into the fray (which is a lot more dps than heavy repercussions)

Hi everyone, I am new to the discord and I would like to ask a question in regards to the secondary stats.
This is what I have currently.

I have sim myself and it came back saying that I have to change some gems and enchants

I normally refer to murlok.io to keep on eye on gear and secondary

After that, I have been looking into raidero.io and I have noticed that some of the top players drop vers and get lots of mastery.

Now, personally I do not have access to raid gear so I might not be able to get the same secondary. So, should I try to go offset to chase different secondary or just keep what I have and change it to what the sim has advised?

murlok.io is a data aggregation website. It should never be used to determine what secondary stats you should have because a.) people are just running whatever gear they have that's best for them, and b.) you likely can't match exactly what gear they have even if it was a reliable source.

You should sim to determine your secondary stats, with the exception that you want at least 21k haste rating in order to run Into the Fray without large gaps in Shield Block uptime. Changing your gems is like...2.5% difference across the two stats and that's assuming you're swapping from e.g. haste/crit to vers/mast

and haste is important - and has always been important - because of how Shield Block has a cd that is affected by haste. So TL;DR, haste good, helps SB uptime, determines what SB talent you pick out of ITF and HR as explained by #protection message

After youre on a level where you can maintain SB without having gaps, you can sim the other stats for gains

Clearly I was mistaken. I have good with haste at this stage so I will make the changes based on the sim.
