This is entirely the wrong mindset
The reason you craft a shield to begin with is because any ilvl improvements to your shield are masive, which is why you dont want to wait until you get a myth one
But that is precisely why you want a max ilvl shield whenever you can afford it

no, youre using it to dps cause its an ST fight and the cleave portions are very minimal, you should be using it on all fights except arguably Hunters and depending on how fast adds die on Araz

I've checked many people on Murlok.io and it seems like there's crazy variety when it comes to stats. I see some people with 11-13k Mastery while others try to have minimum Mastery. Then some people keep Haste around 20k while some go even for 26k Haste. Some people go 15-16k Crit while others have it very low around 7k Crit. And similarly with Vers, some people I see with around 20k while some only have 10k.
Now that it's easier to adjust stats with necks/rings/crafted items, I'm trying to figure out what to aim for but I honestly have no idea... Does anyone have some explanation for why certain people prefer certain stats while others go for completely different spread? Thank you very much for any advice! ❤️

Less Mastery is better. 11-13k seems very high. I’m running 3K right now. Priority is Haste (21-22K minimum) then Crit & Vers equal. That’s generally what you should go for. In keys at least.

Mastery is far from useless, prot warrior has no bad stats
Haste and Crit are our priority, but at this point in the season our stat budgets are inflated, so we start hitting diminishing returns (i.e. each point of a stat is worth less the more of that stat you have)
As such, Mastery and Vers are going to be worth more per point if you have a lot of haste and crit
There is no specific cap or number you're aiming for, we have sims to help guide our decisions
